- BEJUCO FIBREA tough, coarse and dark-coloured fibre obtained from the bark of a variety of " Cissus," a climbing plant in South America, and used by the natives for mats, baskets, cordage, etc.; other names for the fibre are: In Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras it is known as "Comemana"; in Costa Rica, "iasu"; in Mexico, "rejuso loco" and "hierba del buey"; in Potto Rica, "Caro."
